What is an HRV?

A Heat Recovery Ventilator, or better known as an HRV is a device that helps make your home healthier, cleaner, and more comfortable by continuously replacing stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air.

The HRV assists in heating your home by capturing heat from sources such as log fires, gas heaters, electric heaters, heat pumps, hot water heaters & boilers, coal fires, under floor heating, ceiling heating etc. 

 Whatever the heat source, the HRV will recover the heat from the exhaust air stream and recycle up to 95% of this heat directly back into your home. Similarly, the HRV can reverse the process during the cooling season by removing the heat from the incoming air and transferring it to the outgoing air.
